OUR HISTORY
Mahiigaan Charity Organization was founded in October 2022 by a group of professionals of various academic skills with a wide range of experiences. We committed to HELP the people of Somaliland and particularly by the poor children, which effected severe drought and continues to cause devastation and famine across in rural Northern HARGEISA.

What’s Happening and How to Help
Severe drought conditions across the region have also led to food crises in Somaliland. Drought continues in rural Northern HARGEISA district DHAMAL BALI ADAN of Somaliland, famine is worsening, the food crisis is extreme. The worst affected area as annual rainfall is barely a trace.
Food crops production was low associated with late land preparation while nomadic herders have lost their entire livestock. Long rains assessment puts the number of households in need of food intervention is 270,000.
Most people eat just one meager meal a day, if at all. Hungry children do not attend school. Weakened, malnourished children and illnesses.
